This is the space for stained glass, art, crafts, writing, creative experiments, and whatever project has managed to capture my attention this week.
I do not believe creativity belongs only to people who call themselves artists.
Sometimes creativity is a finished piece of stained glass.
Sometimes it is a garden marker made from scraps.
Sometimes it is writing three pages in a notebook.
Sometimes it is moving the furniture around because the room suddenly needs to feel different.
Creativity counts wherever it shows up.

Making space for curiosity, learning new things, noticing beauty, and giving yourself permission to follow an idea simply because it sounds fun.
Creativity Does Not Need to Be Productive
We live in a world that has an impressive talent for turning almost everything we enjoy into something we should monetize, optimize, improve, or perform.
I am trying very hard not to let creativity become another item on that list.
Not everything you make needs to become a product.
Not every hobby needs to become a business.
Not every sketch needs to be good.
Not every piece of writing needs to be published.
Sometimes the point of making something is simply that you enjoyed making it.
That is enough.
Around My Creative Table
My creative life tends to involve multiple projects happening at once.
There may be stained glass on one side of the room, notes for an essay on another, paint brushes drying somewhere they probably should not be, and at least one project that started because I saw something interesting and immediately thought, “I could make that.”
Some projects turn out beautifully.
Some become excellent lessons.
Some sit unfinished for quite a while until I wander back to them.
I have made peace with all three.
The goal is not to become a perfectly organized creative machine.
The goal is to keep making things.
Follow Whatever Catches Your Eye
Make Room for Delight
You do not need expensive supplies, a dedicated studio, or a perfectly developed artistic style to create something.
Use what you have.
Try something badly.
Change your mind halfway through.
Make something weird.
Make something beautiful.
Make something only you understand.
The world asks us to be useful often enough.
Creative Joy is where we get to be curious.
